One magical child who can save worlds with her love!
3 star writing, 4 star story
Series: Yes, book 1 of Anna's World
Characters: Kids were well written and fun to read, adults were written through a child's eyes and felt very one dimensional.
Setting: Great descriptions, worlds were rich and alive.
Adult Content: None, suitable for kids.
Suspected Target Audience: Children and teens
Anna is a caring, giving youngster who fiercely protects her friends in any way she can. She shows courage to stand up to the evils in the world, empathy to those others call villains, and compassion to those who need it.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading Anna's story. Each of the supporting characters had different personality types and helped to balance Anna's sugary sweetness. The adults in the story were far less important than any of the interactions with the children, but they were no less of fleshed out characters.
This would be a wonderful book to read before bed with a child, the magic in the worlds would provide wonderful dream fodder and the heavy sense of right and wrong would be a great conversation starter.
