Gabriel clicked a button on the steering wheel and the car filled with the soft plucking of cellos, violins and a piano.
“Not really, just instrumental. There’s something beautiful in the simplicity of only having a few instruments.”
“I didn’t take you for a ‘beauty’ kind of guy.” Onnie said honestly.
“There’s quite a lot you don’t know about me Cat.”
“And yet here I am in your car. I must have hit my head harder than I realized.”
Removing his right hand from the steering wheel and with his finger turning Onnie’s chin towards him, he looked into her eyes. “If there’s one thing you can know for sure, it’s that I will never hurt you.”
“I bet you say that to all the girls stupid enough to get into your car. Eyes on the road mister.” A subtle blush crept up her cheeks.
Gabriel removed his hand and replaced it on the steering wheel, “I have never meant anything more in my life little Cat. You’ll realize that soon enough. I can wait.”
