Enjoy the tender moment these two share over a delectable cup of tea.
“Oh, um… so last night after you dropped me off…” Onnie looked under her lashes in shame at Gabriel.
Gabriel gripped his mug so strongly his knuckles turned white and the ceramic whined in protest. “Walking away from your front door was the hardest thing I have ever had to do.”
Onnie looked up into his eyes as a blush crept into her cheeks, “I’m sorry, I would have held it together had I known.”
“Don’t ever apologize for feeling emotion Cat, it’s what makes you human. I’m glad your mother was able to help even if I couldn't.” Gabriel relaxed his grip and sipped more of his tea.
Shocked, Onnie smiled. “You called my mom?”
“Ha, no. Though I would have had I had her number. I called your grandfather and he called her at my suggestion.”
